Grice Pistol
Offered is a very nice English flintlock holster pistol made by James Grice, a well known London gunsmith. He has signed the lock in graceful script. The side-plate is a striking work of art, designed in a manner that gracefully encircles 6 piecings.
This pistols brass mounts and barrel make it weather-resistant as they were much less prone to rust in damp conditions, thus it has survived in wonderful condition. In perfect working order, this pistol has great patina and has not suffered the normal British scrubbing and polishing, leading me to believe it's been in America a very long time.
