The Four Centuries exhibit was a joint effort between Gordon Barlow, Founder of the Contemporary Longrifle Association and Mel Hankla. It was done to promote the CLA in it's second year. Pictured above is a Wallace Gusler riflecarving and a  Frank House horn both part  of that exhibit.

It is also the basis for the program that will be presented at Fort Boonesborough's Woodsman Weekend, Nov 2007.

The King’s Mountain Exhibit

The King’s Mountain Exhibit at King's Mountain National Park Museum. This exhibit and the newly renovated Museum was unveiled on Oct. 7 2005. This was the featured display for the 225th anniversary of the monumental Battle. See article for more information.

Kings Mountain and Its Hero's" This display was in honor of the 225th anniversary of this important battle in our fight for "Liberty and Freedom. The exhibit was centered around the"surrender" sword and included other artifacts owned by soldiers in this battle. It was awarded the Judges Choice Award in March, 2005 at the "Crown Jewel" of Collectors' Shows - Maryland Arms Collector Association in Baltimore.

"The Brass Box Rifle, An American Phenomenon"

The dramatic message demonstrated by this stunning exhibit clearly shows the evolution of the Brass Patch Box on American Longrifles. This innovative brass box is considered truly an American invention. Steve and Marcia Hench are pictured above with their award winning display.
